Updated News on Our Latest Project: Suffer the Little Children

“She caught a flicker of it, just a frightening glimpse of Robert’s face changing into something… different.” – Suffer the Little Children

Suffer the Little Children is to be a short film based on the story of the same name written by renowned author Stephen King.

Originally published in the 1972 February issue of Cavalier, the story was re-published in 1993 when King compiled a short story collection for the book Nightmares and Dreamscapes.

The plot for the story is summarized as follows:

An elderly teacher at the Summer Street School, Miss Sidley is disturbed when one of her students tells her that, “Tomorrow a bad thing will happen.” When she probes further into the matter, she discovers that aliens are slowly taking over the bodies of her students. Is her attempt to save them an amazing act of courage, or a fatal trick of the mind?

In November of 2013, Producer Carmelo Giardina acquired the rights to adapt the story with the intention of making a short film. He immediately enlisted long-time collaborator Filip Terlecki to write the screenplay. Terlecki will also serve as Director and the project will begin filming in summer of 2014.

As it stands, the film is scheduled for a Fall, 2014 release.
